Research using a x-ray scanner revealed more: The indent and wall were built in front of what appeared to be another solid wall, seemingly as a diversion.

As the scan continued, it was revealed that the true treasure chamber lay right below the archaeologists feet, which could be entered by lifting a mosaic embedded into the floor.
