eon signs flickered on and off across the street, illuminating the abandoned road with pale light. It felt as if it wasn't too long ago that this part of town was packed with night-time visitors; visiting clubs, hotels and casino's. But those times were long gone, and the sole reminders of this glorious past were now rusty and derelict.

Plans to restore the grandeur of the past had failed, and insufficient interest had been gather over the last years. All that remained were a few shops, hope to prey on travellers passing through.
