A full alphabet
The Pegacorn Initials consists of a set of Latin characters, shaped as a mythical pegacorn, ranging from A to Z. Diacritics can be added to various Pegacorns, adding bright star constellations above their heads. Finishing the set are Tabular figures and a large range of punctuation marks which are all inspired by various tales, myths and legends surrounding Pegasus and the unicorns.
Characters with tales
Each character has a connection to Pegasus and the unicorn. For instance, brackets are based on the Red Bull from The Last Unicorn and parenthesis are shaped as fair maidens (unicorns were impossible to be captured unless lured by a maiden) The question mark is a Narwhal (it’s horn was sold as a unicorn horn by the vikings) and a tree as an exclamation mark. (The unicorn could be tricked into charging into a tree, getting it into danger with a stuck horn).
Past and present
Popular culture uses of the myth of the unicorn and legend of Pegasus is also included in the Initials, with characters referring to sources such as: Battlestar Galactica, Blade Runner, Dungeons & Dragons, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, M.C. Escher, The Neverending Story and The Might Morphin Power Rangers.
